I would suggest purchasing your E-11. If you get it in a resin kit form, like Doopydoos, that will keep you bust for a while! You can also spend time checking out the build threads, and make sure all of your supplies are ready to go for when your kit arrives.

I told my wife she's buying my E-11 for Christmas haha. I'm thinking rubber to be honest. I have a 4 year old at home and what I'd save from buying a diy resin kit I'll lose because I'll have to buy it twice when he smashes it. Although I really do want one. I'd love one of the phoenix props ones.

Hyperfirm do not ship in Canada. Ask Mark about his blaster. They are resin and really nice

I do have a contact in New York who crosses the border daily that I could ship to but I'd hate to get him held up at the crossing trying to explain that it's not a Stirling lol

Mark from AP makes kits or has one from Doopys?

I did the math last night on what it takes to actually finish this suit last night. Wow being Canadian really screws you on that front lol

If you jump in with both feet it is quite an endeavor, but so worth it in the end. I was given this piece of advice while planning my build:

It is not a race, but a journey. Take your time and enjoy it.

Thank you for the advice. It's true I've been trying to think of it that way.

I have no issue with a bit here and there. The deal is my wife is good with what I'm spending as long as its ready before my sons birthday party next July. Lol

Good Luck Man!

I'm sending in my deposit today. I need to pay it off gradually that way I can still feed myself and pay rent lol.

Nah just the regular I'm very slender... But I did go in for the holster/glove combo it was a good deal and better that buying them all separate I suppose. 2 less things I've got to worry about. And I hear you man... gonna have to start coming in on the weekend lol!

Absolutely! Btw I gave you a shout out on my build thread that I started. I borrowed your list it was very comprehensive and detailed well done!

Thank you :) it's kind of a fluid list based on how I'm planning it in my head so I should probably put what I'm thinking up there lol.

So I cut a piece of 1 inch black webbing to abut 52 inches and burned the ends with a lighter. The put a plastic buckle through the block and stitched a box with an X in it like 5 times. That thing is never moving. I also made a 2 1/4 inch loop out of webbing, stitched it back and forth 5 times, flipped it inside out (not easy), and slipped it on the other side. I made sure anything that could poke me is facing out as to not ruin my under suit. At least something is done! :dancing-trooper:

Made magnet pouches today out of clean old cotton rags. 10 sets of 3/4 inch rare earth magnets. Green pouches for positive and orange for negative then also red and black sharpie just in case I forget or go colour blind lol.

I plan on also using lots of clamps and buying lots more magnets, this is just what I could get today.

Bravo! that's a neat looking belt. I'm in the progress on making one myself. Can't be using leather anymore - too visible.

Thank you :)

I'm proud of myself honestly. First time I've ever used a sewing machine but won't be the last on this build that's for sure.

did you find the magnets in Town or online? You're lucky you have Guelph and KW nearby... Detroit is a stones throw away from me but its one hell of a hassle to go over the border every time I want sometime I can't get in my town.

I got them at Lee Valley. The more you buy the cheaper they are

In Waterloo, only a 30 min drive

Looks like you are nearly ready for Big Brown Box day, Eric! If I may, I would suggest holding off on purchasing a few things on your list of things to buy... like:

1. Hot glue gun- I guess this would be good for a temporary hold, but not a permanent one.

2. Hand sander- I would suggest picking up plain old fine grit sanding sponges and literally wrapping them in the 3M silicone sandpaper. Much cheaper, easy to use, and longer lasting. (Trust me).

3. Heat gun- Hold off on this unless you absolutely need it.
