Heya folks.

I recently ran across a seller here in the UK, and I think he's a new one as I've not heard of him before,

which claims his armour is "501st approved" and "accurate".

The seller is called TKUK (TK Armour).

I'd just like to warn people that's it's neither, of course no armour is 501st approved when you purchase is, and then of course the accuracy...

Here the link in case you're curious.
http://www.tkarmour.com/index.php

I'm just posting this as I had a long argument with the guy who runs it on the RPF, and he seems convinced it's approvable without having to modify it.

If this post isn't appropriate, please do remove it. I just thought it'd be good to add this seller to the black-list, as he's clearly shoddy.

Yep. It will be basic approval, but all he is using is a recast ANH helmet, and recast FX armor. Basically another jedi robe seller! Stay far away from this guy.

Man.......the TK pics on the front page of that website look horrible.  Maybe I'm just going by 501st standards and not the typical person in the public, but even before discovering the 501st, I would think that anyone looking at the TK's on that website would think something was off!  The construction of the buckets look absolutely horrendous!

That's the first thing that struck me: the three TKs on the front page all have different shaped helmets. I hope anyone who's not familiar with the 501st sees that as a big red flag.

I'm curious, how long do people like him stick around? Is there any recourse for his false statements for the 501st other than warnings on the boards?

Newbie questions, I know; but I bet these people pop up often and I'm wondering how they are handled.

Friendly bump because we had to get info on this armor to educate a new recruit.  Luckily, we saved him just in time before purchase.

FYI, this is on eBay.

I find it interesting that he put a number of photos of the Thailand Garrison representing the 501st, complete with banners, giant checks, etc.  If I didn't know any better, this would be pretty convincing advertising for those hoping to join the 501st who buy into this.

Anything to do with "TK Armor" on facebook? "Endor Party Crashers" group is full of enthusiasts who love it.<br>

Edit: I just read that without the U is original AM with NE lids. Interesting!

I came across this web site when I first started window shopping what is out there for Trooper armor.  Before I went to the local Garrison's meet & greet.  And then started researching approved sources here.

I never realized there are so many cheap suits that are inaccurate out there.

Luckily I was not going to order something like this from the UK (to the USA).  Shipping.

Just a bump on this topic. Got a non-member in Colorado attempting to redistribute/sell multiple kits from TKUK to our garrison as well as putting it out on Facebook.

'Our helmet is the only 3-part kit on the market'...my AM 2.0 kit strongly disagrees. Come on, at least do a touch of research...

The TKUK stuff is also being sold here https://stormtroopercity.com/ . It's pretty hilarious as a guy was posting on here advertising it, got called out for it being an FX recast. He then vehemently denied it being an FX recast, but now on that site they are apparently making (which im thinking is safe to assume recasting someone else's kit) new moulds as some of their pieces "looked like" FX.

Edit:

The TKUK maker is mentioned under the why choose us section.

Even at first glance you can tell something is off about the helmets. Buyer beware!

Sorry if I'm necroposting, but I saw that there was a BOGO deal on this......so since a lot of you are saying stay away, then I guess I should just stay away huh? That's to bad, I was ready to go on this.
