troopermaster Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I cannot for the life of me post photos on here. I never had problems before but now it's impossible. I cannot even write the image tags and paste the link as nothing pastes when I try and the image tab just stays empty when I try and type. Anyone else having issues? Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Paul: When you're editing a post and click on the image icon... what happens after you paste/type the URL and click ok? -Eric Quote
troopermaster Posted June 15, 2015 Author Report Posted June 15, 2015 I paste the link into the tab and it just freezes. I cannot close the tab and have to refresh for it to go away. I don't have any problems on any other forum except this one. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 I've had the same problem since using windows 8.1, I just copy and paste in the image tags now and insert the link into that. Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 Oh hm. Are you both using internet explorer? -Eric Quote
troopermaster Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 I am using windows 8.1 too. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 In the post window you type in, the far left, top row icon that looks like a light switch; you can press it to turn off the fancy-editing and use raw forum codes to post or insert formating using "BB-code". In our case, to insert images, use (IMG)http://www.something.com/path/to/image.jpg(/IMG)except you use [ and ] instead of parenthesis. Quote
troopermaster Posted June 16, 2015 Author Report Posted June 16, 2015 Yay, it works! Thanks, Mathias 1 Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Actually you can use the IMG tags even without flipping the switch. Just type them in the editor as would do anything else. Maybe at some point the new version of our forum software will be more internet explorer friendly. -Eric 1 Quote

Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Or a forum that can handle the volume and database better. It's not the forum software... its the server itself.... and doofus! That has nothing to do with how much IE sucks. -Eric 1 Quote
aliens8us Posted June 16, 2015 Report Posted June 16, 2015 Now what about posting photos from a Samsung Galaxy S5 through the Tapatalk app? Do the photos have to be a certain resolution? Quote

Even replying adding quotes like this would show no quote. Quote
