Bulldog44[TK] Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) Just wanted to share my latest project to enlist my kids into the wonderful world of Star Wars! First off will be the blasters then the robes and accessories. Not shooting for accuracy but good old fun costumes my kids can enjoy wearing while they accompany me on some troops. Enjoy! If I am posting this in the wrong place, please move it to the appropriate area. Thank you. Edited June 18, 2015 by Bulldog44 Quote
Bulldog44[TK] Posted June 18, 2015 Author Report Posted June 18, 2015 Coming along..... Weathering up next to the black painted parts, flat clear coat varnish for the wood and then assembly. Lights and sounds are still questionable. I might just have the kids use a sound card with push button triggers connected to a small speaker amp that will be worn on the belt. Possibly going to using a bicycle light with a strobe effect in the ion funnel/cannister for the time being. Quote
Bulldog44[TK] Posted June 29, 2015 Author Report Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) Weathering was supposed to come first but I got anxious to just get it assembled and then see things from there. Couple of late nights to complete but my kids are over the moon with the blasters. Next phase of the project is to work on the masks and LEDs for the eyes. I need to wife to assist with the robes so that might be some time before we can find some solid time to work on them. Edited June 29, 2015 by Bulldog44 1 Quote
ryan.payne1 Posted July 23, 2016 Report Posted July 23, 2016 Wow! Great work. I'm about to start a Jawa build for my kids so this is very helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Bulldog44[TK] Posted July 24, 2016 Author Report Posted July 24, 2016 Wow! Those are amazing! Wow! Great work. I'm about to start a Jawa build for my kids so this is very helpful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thanks guys for your kind comments. It was a lot of fun building the blasters and the full costumes came out satisfactory. My girls wore them a few times already and the feeds back from people seeing them was great. I made their hoods twice as big as a normal Jawa so they looked funnier. When I get a chance I will post a photo of the finished costume. Sorry I never updated the project since last year. 3 Quote

T-Jay[TK] Posted August 3, 2016 Report Posted August 3, 2016 (edited) "Utiniii" Those pictures are great, Brian. You thought of everything. Even black gloves with fur. Looking cool. May I ask what exactly you used the audio electronics for? Blaster sounds? Or Jawa voices? Just curious... Edited August 4, 2016 by T-Jay Quote
Bulldog44[TK] Posted August 4, 2016 Author Report Posted August 4, 2016 Tino,
thanks! its not movie accuate but i tried to get most of the general details in the costume. most things like the fur, shoes, masks amd blaster parts came from the dollar store. cheap but eefective.

I used the electronics just for Jawa voices. I bought some other sound boards for the blasters but never got around to setting them up. So for now my daughters just use the Jawa talk recordings. Quote
