You look great! I poured through the build thread but still missed your gasket material in the final version. Apologies if I just missed it, but could you remind us what you used?

(Yes, it's a royal pain, but so are the rubber ones!)

Thanks for the compliment! :) I used headliner material. (it's a light foam with fabric on one side.) I also used a shiny, polyester-spandex blend fabric.

Pondering technique. Did you still use piping (off-the-shelf, or did you make it)? I'm guessing not based on the look; did you lay in each run of cord between the headliner and polyester, then run a stitch alongside to hold the rib down?

There's no actual piping in it, it's just the puff from the foam headliner between stitch lines.

^ What he said. ;) Just be sure to spray glue the shiny material to the foam side and not the side that already has the material attached. You get more defined "ribs" if there is only one layer of fabric, compared to two.
