Sonnenschein Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 I was wondering if the black wood screws on the TD are mandatory for Centurion, because there's a close up of them in every Centurion application. Thanks! Quote

Thanks! Not required based on the wording of the CRL. You could glue the clips on if you wish Quote
Sonnenschein Posted June 9, 2015 Author Report Posted June 9, 2015 Lol. Thanks The reason I ask is because I got a TD from TM years ago and the clips are riveted. I wouldn't know how to change that :-) Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Never been required. Just encouraged. Quote
Sonnenschein Posted June 9, 2015 Author Report Posted June 9, 2015 I'm afraid they will be required when I finally finish the armors :-) Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted June 9, 2015 Report Posted June 9, 2015 Removing a pop-rivet is easy. Just drill it by the middle with a dremel/drill/etc... Quote
Sonnenschein Posted June 9, 2015 Author Report Posted June 9, 2015 So I've heard But the end caps are glued on! Quote
Chills[TK] Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 Yeah, that would make using screws a lot more difficult. Hurry up and finish that armor, Karin. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 Syre they are glued? Not just press fitted? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Quote
Sonnenschein Posted June 10, 2015 Author Report Posted June 10, 2015 Actually, I don't know. I unpacked it, admired the the handiwork, and stowed it away Quote

Bone[501st] Posted June 10, 2015 Report Posted June 10, 2015 But why need the endcaps to be removed? I put in the screws in my TM detonator after everything else was finished and closed. Being woodscrews, they grip the material and are good to go. No need to fasten them from the inside ... Quote
Sonnenschein Posted June 10, 2015 Author Report Posted June 10, 2015 Good point! But the washers on the inside woud be rattling around, I think. Quote

Exactly, the internal part of the drilled out rivet would still be in there Quote
