DroidHunter Posted July 5, 2015 Report Posted July 5, 2015 I've already bought all the parts necessary to build my own fan system No worries. If you are putting together something similar to what I have, you will have the same set up as many vet troopers and you will be fine. No issues here in 12 months of trooping with it. rikrikrik Posted July 21, 2015 Report Posted July 21, 2015 I have been getting bored so I was going to start selling fan kits in the EU Quote
TK69581[TK] Posted July 28, 2015 Report Posted July 28, 2015 Nothing against Echo but my fans turned just as good and a lot cheaper. Of course it helps I know my way around electronics lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
skittle76[TK] Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 you can rig up a couple 12v blower fans, easily found on ebay or amazon and set up a 12v battery (rechargable units, also found on ebay (aka blue packs)) or use a 9v to run them. a rechargable 12v lith ion batter lasts about 4 hours with the fan running all the time. a 9v will last about 1 hour...maybe. 6-8 aa or aaa batteries will last about 2 hours. it depends on how long you want them to run, how much space you want to use up in the helmet, ease of changing batteries if needed, or if you just want a one time charge and run all day set up. i have 2 fans and 2 separate 12v lith ion packs in my tx helmet. i use one for many hours and when it starts going out, i switch on the other one. doing that, i have about 8 hours of fan....and less noise going, :-) Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted August 20, 2015 Report Posted August 20, 2015 I run 2 squirrel fans, opted for 5volt and get a good 6+ hours of run time off 4 rechargeable AA batteries hooked in series. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Polar Posted August 31, 2015 Report Posted August 31, 2015 I pulled apart my drone this weekend due to me crashing it into a car( dont ask) has a 5 volt lithium ion battery. So far I can get about 2 hours out of it pushing two evil boy fans. I made my own bracket too. Now I just need "voice" Quote
Sd-Stormtrooper Posted October 8, 2015 Report Posted October 8, 2015 I have a few 5v fans left that work with a on /off rocker switch powered by 4aa batteries.

. Pm me if you are still looking for fans. I have them on ebay Quote

I know it could be some what time consuming but i love doing it ... im working on my prototype of 2 5v blower fans powered by a 9v/12v battery with a on/off switch .. some people like to have them individually powered on but ill see how it goes with mine. tugle[TK] Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 Curious if anyone has used something like this (seems to skip needing to connect the switch) and connect direct to a fan: http://www.amazon.com/Vktech-Battery-Holder-Switch-Cover/dp/B00N7BEFHI/ref=pd_sim_107_14?ie=UTF8&dpID=4157GDaaBsL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0QSXQ2F61GN0DA18K7VN Quote
