How did you cut the circles so neatly? I see a yellow tool in the background - does it have a blade on it?

Hi guys,

need the help of the experts. The belt normally will be rivet on the abdominal plate on both sides. Please have a look on the following screen cap. I marked the belt of the trooper in the front, correct me if I am wrong but it looks like that the belt was only rivet on the left site but not on the right site?

What do you think guys?

thx

Belt is riveted both sides. The screen grab is not clear enough to see it, especially as it's painted white, but it's there.

Thx :) so I can go on with the assembling of the belt hope my inner dropboxes will arrive in a few days

Use these photos of my ROTJ arms for reference with your strapping.

Did you end up changing the way you glued your arms?

So after getting back from the SciFi days and talking with some great guys of the German Garrison I assembled my belt and did the strapping for the abdominal, back and chest plate (don´t look at the splashes on the mirror, my son brushed his teeth minutes before :D  )

Looking good. Is there a little race between you and Stubacca, on who can finish their armour first.

Haha it looks like that but it is not any race we will support each other to get our first armor ready to troop 😆

I used the sunny day we had yesterday to start painting my boots.

first I used ACETON to get colour of the boots

...than I used painters tape to cover the leather material (will be painted later with white leather colour)

After covering the leather I add a few thin coats white

Final result after adding 5 coats of white

Today I will spray the leather white with the leather colour I got on saturday :)

Cheers

Good luck with the thighs - I have skinny legs so it's been alright - I've had to pull my shins apart as I glued them for the wrong legs(what is it with me and wrong legs???) so I need to do some repairs there.

I am on the home straight, I only have to do a few things to get the armor ready for approval :)

Stille waiting on my inner drop boxes to attached them correctly onto the belt.

Can somebody tell me where these 4 remaining straps have to be added? I suppose the 2 small straps are for connecting the chest with the back and the 2 other for connecting the hand guards with the forearms?

20150704_221805_zpsgwxhljsj.jpg

And I can´t stop myself try to wear the armor on that extrem hot day :)

What I noticed on wearing the legs, I am to short for the legs. So I think I have to cut the back a bit.

Cheers
