Would suggest to place it on (or under) your blaster, instead of the armor. This way you can "aim" for things you want to catch and it doesn't distract from the armor.

I did some testing and placed it at the end fo the barrel of my DLT-19 and it captures the whole background

Yeah I use my gopro for all troops great way to get group shots and videos.
