SirUberNoobPwnr Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 Hey everyone, I think those two things in the front of the bucket are called Induction Filters. I am having a hard time adding the wire mesh to the mold. Any tips on how to do this and minimize seeing glue residue? Thanks for your help. Quote
charlesnarles Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) Colloquially we call them "mic tips" FYI. First push the middle of the mesh in (concave), then pull it out, flip it over and glue it in with the mesh pushed out (convex). Shouldn't need a whole lot of super glue since there's lots of surface area Edited April 30, 2015 by charlesnarles Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted April 30, 2015 Report Posted April 30, 2015 The real name are mic tips. But if they were named that as an Imperial description in a book....cool! Anyway, you really shouldn;t need glue to hold them in. Good mic tip castings have a small lip just under the edge that the screen sits on if you cut it very carefully. Quote
