TheKido[501st] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 So I found this on E-bay..? Real or not? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Screen-Used-Star-Wars-Stormtrooper-E-11-Blaster-ILM-no-master-replicas-Sideshow-/171766509433?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_101&hash=item27fe14ef79 Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 Well, it says it's a Bapty, but, it does not look like one. I might be wrong. Vern, we need you to chime in lol Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk Quote
TheKido[501st] Posted April 27, 2015 Author Report Posted April 27, 2015 Hehe my thought exactly Quote
Clonecollector[TK] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 It looks like it could be a Bapty style blaster but... Bapty blasters had a block of wood shoved in the magazine. This one had just a regular cut magazine. Quote
PlayfulWolfCub Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 I'm going to stick my neck out & suggest that someone's trying to make a LOT of money with a replica. It's a good effort but there's something about it that doesn't feel right to me. However, I haven't seen every Tunisian/Bapty ever made so I'm happy to change my mind if the the owner is genuine & would like to come on FISD to tell us the history & provenance of the blaster Quote
Dday[501st] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 I call foul. It doesn't feel like a real bapty to me. Bad photos, no detailed closeups and the details in the description is a bit off. 1 Quote
T-Jay[TK] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 No close up pictures from the power cylinders and the Hengstler counter - everybody who is familiar with E-11 knows these details are important. But they are missing. Must be a reason for it... Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted April 27, 2015 Report Posted April 27, 2015 I think that's lee malone's old blaster. If so, it's legit. The scope, cylinders and hengstler are added in modern times, because there are no surviving blasters that still have them. They all were removed either during or after filming finished. So it's not important for this blaster to have closeup pictures of them. Quote
PlayfulWolfCub Posted May 4, 2015 Report Posted May 4, 2015 These are photos of Lee's blaster. It's not the same one. The listing has ended now as "unavailable" http://s1125.photobucket.com/user/PlayfulWolfCub/library/E11%20photos/Lee%20Malones%20Tunisian-Bapty%20E11 Quote
