Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Yeah they're "selling" Vader at Disney too. Here for photos: http://forum.501stsithlords.com/index.php?showtopic=10017 -Eric 1 Quote
shaunpug[TK] Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Makes me wonder if this is just an early prototype suit...maybe one of the ones way back from Comi-Con? Quote
Astyanax Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Looks like a sharp pull to me. (I really don't know what I'm talking about, just thought I'd troll first.) Edited December 2, 2015 by Astyanax Quote
allan1313[TK] Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 I am no expert, but looks good to me. Now ship me mine Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk 4 Quote
troopermaster Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 That is an AP or a cast of it. Definitely not Anovos. Quote
CommanderZel Posted December 2, 2015 Report Posted December 2, 2015 Disney is displaying AP armor with a price tag? Is that even kind of okay? If that's really the case then I'd assume AP knows about it, but... That just seems a little shady to me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) The abdomen plate on AP does not have the notch at the bottom of the button plate. The armor shown here is not AP. Edited December 3, 2015 by TK Bondservnt 2392 1 Quote
TK-61214 Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I would think it is Anovos since they hold the license and it looks like the price tag reads 1800.00 which is what their completed kits sell for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
tkrestonva[TK] Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 That is an AP or a cast of it. Definitely not Anovos. Notch under the vertical ab buttons aside, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the photo earlier today. Quote
Lichtbringer Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Just mail Disney and ask "the guy from Troopermaster said the displayed Armor is a AP suit. Is that true, or is it definately an Anovos." Easy to do and better than any guesswork. Quote
Sgt_Boodles Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I may or may not be a Cast Member at Disneyland and may or may not be able to get a solid answer for you guys, if you want one... 4 Quote
Lichtbringer Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 To be honest, i don't care.<br><br> It doesn't matter what is shown somewhere. All that matters is what is in my parcel. Then i can decide if i like it, sell it, or send it back.<br><br> Until then, with the real parts in hand, all the guesswork is bullshucks without any substance. 2 Quote
troopermaster Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 The abdomen plate on AP does not have the notch at the bottom of the button plate. The armor shown here is not AP. Like I said "or cast of it" It has all the tells of AP and not RS/Anovos. Quote
Sgt_Boodles Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I would guarantee you it's the Anovos kit. Given that Launch Bay is selling Anovos' Han Solo ensemble and Imperial Officer, it would make sense that the TK would be theirs as well. They're also upcharging all the costumes. TK is $1,200 online, $1,800 in store. Officer is $500 online, $640 in store... This is just my opinion but the photo that person uploaded is kind of at a terrible angle and makes the helmet look weird. Would be a lot easier to determine the make if it was at a more front-facing angle. Quote
troopermaster Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 That is definitely not the same armour Anovos showed earlier when those two guys built the black kit. This one shows all the signs of being cast from an AP where the black kit was cast from an RS. More photos of this particular suit will help identify all the parts as it is possible it came from several sources (if anyone is really interested?) Quote

I just don't get it though, if I was to go there, I'd take a million pictures of the suit, not just one!! BTW, would you be so kind as to share what those tell are? I'm always up for learning more about the types of armour... Quote

Locitus[Admin] Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 Not the best hero I've seen. Not the worst. Looks a bit like they tried modifying a stunt to look like a hero without knowing that really sets them apart aside from the obvious bubble lenses and fewer teeth. 1 Quote

The5thHorseman[501st] Posted December 3, 2015 Report Posted December 3, 2015 I pretty much agree with Paul and Brian. I have an AP and the forearms, shoulder bells, chest plate, sniper knee plate are easy to recognize. Quote
