TK5144[TK] Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 I think they have been shipping their trek stuff already? Quote
careoftheoldfolkshome Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 They claim I'll be seeing my Vader helmet in June. If that thing isn't top notch, I'll be quickly cancelling my pre-order for this TK kit. Quote
TK5144[TK] Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 I'm hoping to see some of their own casts at cvii. Not just their moncal stuff. If the tk is their own sculpt, there's no reason not to have it on display at cvii Quote

MotioN Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 Having my own AP/AM Frankenstein this suit doesn't tempt me too much, the only temping part for me would be if their strapping system works well. That's the main thing I'm constantly tweaking on my own suit to increase its ease of use and confidence while wearing. Other then that I think I'll keep an eye on how the quality turns out the products people have been pre ordering (Snowtrooper, Stormtrooper, Vader, Tie Pilot). If wall goes well maybe I'll pick up their Episode 7 trooper when its announced ;-). Quote
CommanderZel Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 If the armor is on display at C7, someone should take pictures and post them here or in another thread for those of us waiting to preorder until more details are released. I'm currently waiting on being able to order my first kit, and if this thing turns out well enough then I'll be going with the Anovos. Quote
DarthMel[TK] Posted April 15, 2015 Report Posted April 15, 2015 I was told that delays were due to where the stuff was being made. They are working on getting another place in the US to hopefully speed things up. They are a VERY small company, so keep that in mind too. Quote
charlesnarles Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 I keep looking at that neck seal... There's always Trooperbay, veedox, darman, etc. if the soft parts end up being crappy, but hopefully it'll be decent. Can't wait to see some real pics! Quote
Revyl Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Over at the RPF, Got Maul (one of the founders of Anovos) posted the following: Hey all, my apologies. I will answer questions when the waters have calmed over here at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. But to quickly answer a question : YES, that armor on the site is our real prototype and not just a concept pics ! So I guess we can assume that the finished armor does indeed look very close to this. What, then, is the verdict concerning validability (is that even a word?) Does it have the potential to be usable in the 501st ? Quote

Chills[TK] Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 yeah, that's the big question: will the costumes meet 501st approvals. Being a newbie I can't imagine who makes that call, but hopefully we'll know in the near future. I can see Anovos' orders going up if the powers that be in the 501st give a thumbs up. I just noticed the AT-AT driver showed up on their site. So tempting! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Lets get one thing straight here. NO armour is by default 501st approved. Yes the prototype does look a lot better than other suits often used by members. But that doesn't matter. All that matter is how it looks on you. Not how it looks on a mannequin. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk I know that no costume gets default approval. I'm perfectly aware of that. My question was, does it look like it could be made into an accurate (and thus approvable) armor, or does it have any blatant flaws that would make it hard to get approved without MAJOR investment of time, money and work (provided the finished armor looks like this orototype does) Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 Like I said; it looks better than what many others already in use do. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Quote
Quadan[501st] Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 https://www.facebook.com/ANOVOS here is thier FB page.. they have a map of were thier booth is located. Quote
TK5144[TK] Posted April 16, 2015 Report Posted April 16, 2015 I don't see the tk armor at their booth. Lots of episode 7 trooper helmets. Quote
charlesnarles Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 I hope they didn't mean ep.7 TKs only. I gotta see the clsssic trilogy up close and at different angles Quote
revboy Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 Well I hope they aren't trying push the TK on us without revealing their plans for the EP7 troopers. Maybe that's why the first tier pricing is so low? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Bryanmc[501st] Posted April 17, 2015 Report Posted April 17, 2015 I preordered and am trying to get up to speed on TKs. I'm an approved Vader. Is there a guess as to which movie version this is? Quote
