After you pull it apart, I rubbed off the glue with my fingers until it was gone.  I'm sure its not the best way to do it but that is what I did.

if the part is small you can stuff it in a freezer and once it gets really cold, the glue will be brittle and break off easily...(or was that with super glue? can't remember now)

 

I use a blade and carefully slice the gap apart. And then use my finger nails to scratch the glue off. Gross right?

It is the E6000, Evan.  Freezer is the way to go, if you can do so.
