R4ZORBL4DE Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Does anyone know of where to get this done OTHER THAN Disney Weekends ? http://www.cnet.com/news/disney-turns-you-into-a-3d-printed-stormtrooper/ Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Sadly, no. I don't know if you can, other than finding out where they're going to have their booth set up to do the scan. www.cubify.com Offers other "3DME" figures if you send in a photo, but I can't find the TK anyplace else... R4ZORBL4DE Posted March 13, 2015 Author Report Posted March 13, 2015 Cause I see this other company " 3DMe " doing Ghostbusters and others by just uploading your photo ... Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Yeah, I just found the same thing. Im mostly certain that 3DME is the same company that was at Disney though. EDIT: apparently, it is D-Tech Me. 1 Quote

Chip Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Yeah I just got a very similar reply, will undoubtedly be a licensing issue. 1 Quote
Chip Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) http://my3dtwin.comAnother option as they scan the whole you, including what you are wearing. Just realised they're uk based sorry R4zerbl4de but I would expect there to be something similar across the pond. Edited March 13, 2015 by Chip 1 Quote

R2Dan[TK] Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 They did offer them at Jedi Con here in Germany as well. Got mine there Quote
Chip Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Just had a second email from 3dme: "Hello Stephen, We haven't signed a licensing agreement with Disney to use Star Wars characters/logos/designs, etc. so we aren't able to produce Star Wars-related figurines at this time. Ideally the Force will be with us and we'll be able to make a deal with Disney to get permission to use their property soon." Maybe something in the pipeline 1 Quote
