gazmosis[501st] Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Just make sure you build this with butt jointed construction. Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Congratulations!!! Now, now the real fun begins!! We've got your back. If you've got questions, fire away!! Quote
PiettLives[TK] Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 2 RT-Mod suits! Lucky dude! Congrats and good luck on your "builds". Do lots of research and make sure you start a build thread yourself to document and also for questions. Welcome to the Legion in White. Quote
gunslinger7788 Posted March 9, 2015 Author Report Posted March 9, 2015 Hello, yes, I ordered them last Feb...the list is long....and getting longer. I will start with the bicep build today , roughing up the seems and preparing for the first glue. Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Make sure you do some taped test fits before you glue stuff. Quote
gunslinger7788 Posted March 11, 2015 Author Report Posted March 11, 2015 cutting 15mm cover strips today for inside and outside of bicep Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Hi Gunslinger, nice armour kit you got there, and definitely worth the wait. As suggested already, check out the Centurion build threads on RT Mod, only a couple of minor mods and you be glad you did it. Looking forward to seeing your progress. gunslinger7788 Posted March 12, 2015 Author Report Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) question about the GAP at top of Bicep?? is this normal, i have cut 15mm cover strips for inside and outside. which side would leave the small gap on??? Edited March 12, 2015 by gunslinger7788 2 Quote
Tusken RTT Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Looks like from our photo references, the cover strip would stop at the shorter side (see bicep on the left). I was not sure, but others will chime in to confirm. Quote
gunslinger7788 Posted March 14, 2015 Author Report Posted March 14, 2015 inside cover strips in place, now applying the 15mm cover strips to the outside Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 I really like Rob & the RT - will be great to see this come together. Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted March 23, 2015 Report Posted March 23, 2015 Awesome. More RT-MOD. Cruising right along! Thread followed. -Eric 1 Quote

gunslinger7788 Posted March 29, 2015 Author Report Posted March 29, 2015 cover strips for the legs will be 20mm Quote
gunslinger7788 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Report Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) So Far this has been the hardest part and the biggest chance of failure, the snipers knees has been a real challenge. i hope it right!! Edited March 31, 2015 by gunslinger7788 Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 The Sniper plate is indeed challenging. Looking good though!! You may want to take a little more off of the wrist return edge based on what I can see in the one picture. Quote
Narc[TK] Posted March 31, 2015 Report Posted March 31, 2015 That looks like you have connected two inners and two outers. RTMod is built for overlap. The notches at the tips are for overlap. Look at the bulge for your calf muscle. Also, don't forget to have the overlap at the back for your join (Velcro or whatever) so that it's opening faces inward so it cannot easily be seen by anyone looking. Quote
gunslinger7788 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Report Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) wow, i didn't see a difference, there glued now.!!!! I am butting all pieces together, using cover strips. Can i place a cover strip on the back for use with the velcro? arent the calf muscle the same right leg or left? should i try to seperate and re-glue?? Edited March 31, 2015 by gunslinger7788 Quote
