Quadan[501st] Posted March 6, 2015 Report Posted March 6, 2015 Ok, so I was working on my bucket and I noticed I had to paint my screws but had no white paint. What I did have was a sheet of decals and a hole punch. SO I ended up punhing the white part of the decal sheet a few times and using those to make screw cover decals. Pics to come when I get my tablet up and working 1 Quote
fuumantroop[TK] Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 I used white out. Works like a charm and scrapes right off Quote

I decided on using white nail enamel to cover my screws and outer hardware. Drys super hard and goes on easy. Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Painted mine before screwing them in lol Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Zaphod[TK] Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 I used whiteout/tipex. "white nail enamel" that sounds like a good option, I'll have to look into that. Thanks. Quote
Mobus[TK] Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 I just went to the hardware store and bought wall plate cover screws like those used for a wall outlet or switch plate. They sell them in white and the paint seems to be really durable. Quote
justjoseph63[Staff] Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Even though I used Testor's enamel on my ear screws and rivets, I also hit them with a few coats of clear nail polish for some extra durability. Quote
CRXPanda[TK] Posted May 5, 2015 Report Posted May 5, 2015 I did the outlet screws too. The ones that came with the helmet were brass, and one was missing a nut. I didn't feel like going to the store for one teeny nut, so I stole the white ones off three in the house and replaced them with some silver ones I had hanging around. I also used threaded rivets on the visor and it holds it all together! Quote
HansDC[TK] Posted May 6, 2015 Report Posted May 6, 2015 I painted mine with just regular Humbrol. They looked like a 2 year old went haywire with mums white nail polish. Nailed it? ;P 1 Quote
