gazmosis[501st] Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Hey Tony: Although I can assume it is there, can you take a shot of the belt ends moving your pouches so I can make sure the corners are clipped? Thank you, bud! Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 9, 2015 Author Report Posted February 9, 2015 Hey Steve, no problem, I totally dropped the ball on that sorry. I'll have that for ya a bit later today. Is there anything else you want pics of while I'm at it? Quote

Ness Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Wow, very nice ! For my first armor I hesitate between HWT and ANH stunt. Do you think I should go all out or start simple ? Anyway, good luck ! Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Wow, very nice ! For my first armor I hesitate between HWT and ANH stunt. Do you think I should go all out or start simple ? Anyway, good luck ! Hey G, HWT is just an extension of Stunt with minor alterations and weathering however, in addition there's a few items you'll have buy or build like pouches, a pauldron, backpack and maybe a BFG. To answer your question, it's up to you, it all depends on your building skills and the depth of your wallet . If you are a hobby/craft enthusiast and love these kinds of things then I say, go for it however, take your time, read, have patience, measure twice and cut once. If you're new to what I just said then I suggest by all means, baby steps, and of course take your time, read, have patience, measure twice and cut once. See where I'm going with this? Good luck and thank you Edited February 11, 2015 by ukswrath Quote
Ness Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Measure twice and cut once, got it ! I'm going to think about it some more but like you've said, HWTs are just an extension of stunt so I'm probably going to start with just a stunt and as time goes by I will gather the pieces needed for a HWT. Thanks ! Quote

fuumantroop[TK] Posted February 11, 2015 Report Posted February 11, 2015 Dude I need a backpack like yours lol. That's going to be the hardest part of the transition for me Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 11, 2015 Author Report Posted February 11, 2015 Dude I need a backpack like yours lol. That's going to be the hardest part of the transition for me Hey Andrew, I was half tempted to build and sell them, but there's just not enough interest, yet. It's really not that difficult, I built mine in a weekend, just follow my tutorial. You can do it! 1 Quote

gazmosis[501st] Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Alright, Tony! This is artistry. One of those sets of armor where you know the owner did his homework! Let's take a look!! CRL and EIB application Requirements: All photos required have been posted. Your armor represents all necessary elements to achieve Expert Infantry. That said, congratulation on your EIB qualified HWT!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: This section covers suggestions from both myself and your fellow troopers that go towards improving the overall look of your armor. A "shock" trooper like this is totally dependent on a strong base armor build. This was nailed. A good, clean build with all the correct details plus a great fit makes this an impressive thing to look at. Thank you for supplying the belt shot to identify the angled corners. Although this element is hidden by your pouches, the costume does not require two so the base build necessitates this detail. For those people reading this and educating yourselves, the thermal detonator is only required should the trooper NOT have a backpack as in Tony's case. Very innovative work on your backpack as well!. Centurion Suggestions: I have nothing to add as far as improvement suggestions. Hopefully specific photos won't show any hidden deficiencies. Thank you again for your hard work on this. This badge was well earned. Your Garrison should be proud NOTE: you might want to remove the maker of your inner drop boxes from your top list since this costume has no drop boxes Quote
