Quadan[501st] Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 I notice alot of helmets have a black trim covering the bottom edge of most helmets. How does one achive this? I did not see anything in the CRL about one so is this just an extra addon ? Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 It is an S trim, it clips onto the lip of the helmet, usually you cut it a little longer than is needed and the pressure of the extra material keeps it in place, some use glue if it comes off. Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted February 6, 2015 Report Posted February 6, 2015 It is mentioned in the CRL under Centurion requirements (red lettering) Quote
BluJoe Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 Is there a tutorial about how this goes on??.. which groove to use....etc?/ Quote
Scotty33[TK] Posted October 31, 2015 Report Posted October 31, 2015 Hi Chris, use the flat groove to fit it to your helmet and the 'S' part goes towards the inside. Quote
BluJoe Posted November 4, 2015 Report Posted November 4, 2015 Thanks Scotty.. I'll be giving that a try tonight... Quote
Scotty33[TK] Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) No worries Chris. fit it around your helmet before cutting it, then when you do cut it, like gmrhodes said, make it slightly longer than it needs to be and it should hold itself in fine. justjoseph63[Staff] Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 I recommend putting the join under the vocoder. The reason being is that it is a lot less noticeable, and that area doesn't get handled as much as the back. Quote
