Helping a little girl that was bullied for liking Star Wars - WERE IS IT NOW

I have a question, were is this armor now, I believe it ended up with the daughter of 501st LCO, not sure how that happened. So question is who's property is it, shouldn't it stay in control of FISD, shouldn't the next recipient of the armor be decided by FISD and it's members, after all we are the ones who put in money to purchase the armor and our members put the armor together.

I did ask the question as to the current recipient on the 501st forum and was told by the LCOG that an investigation into how the current owner received it and there was nothing inappropriate found.

So were is it now and who get's it next, shouldn't FISD decide this?

The armor IS currently in the care of the LCO. And it is for the same reason that it was built in the first place; a little girl that was being bullied to the point where she was missing more school than she was attending.

Carrie Goldman, Mother of Katie the original recipient, was contacted. Not only was Katie happy see the armor being used for what helped her out in so many ways, but she got together with friends to draw many inspiring pictures for the LCO's daughter.

Something needs to kept straight here....although myself nor the FISD was consulted before this move was made, this had nothing to do with nor did the LCO have prior knowledge that this was being arranged. This was about a little girl in the same situation as Katie was. It served its purpose and is ready to serve again.. I agree that we need to start a thread that is dedicated to the location and availability of this wonderful gift that the FISD pooled together to build. It is understood that if need be, this armor will be sent off to yet another little trooper that needs it...anywhere.

Just an update.

The armor has once again served its purpose. Ally is growing leaps and bounds in both spirit and body. Her confidence has helped her accel in school, and overcome many of the challenges she faced a year ago. Much of this has been directly the result of her being able to be part of this wonderful gift the FISD gave her the chance to experience. She is finished with it and ready to move on. The armor in its entirety, will be back in my possession soon. It will be stored in my home until it is needed to help another little trooper.
