Alardis Posted February 4, 2015 Report Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Greetings! While I still need to order armor, I have decided to craft E-11 in ANH style using scratch build method. I searched the Internets ( ) and found some templates in this topic:http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25620-esb-e-11-templates/But they are ESB. And there are no template for the pistol handle. Can someone help me with the ANH-friendly templates? Thanks! UPD. I have found also this.http://www.egner2design.com/E-11-PVC-tutorial.pdfBut still no pistol handle (and another additional parts) templates. Edited February 4, 2015 by Alardis Quote

It's cool idea to make parallel builds. We can also discuss some points of the crafting process, are we? Quote

Alardis Posted February 8, 2015 Author Report Posted February 8, 2015 New update!! Creating front nozzle. I'm using 3mm PVC to recreate the nozzle with the templates. I'm understand that it is the first experience. If it looks not good as it can be, I think I'll recreate this in future. And yes, I know that the largest circle must be also drilled. ANd I'll do it after glueing all the module together. Here it is: Also I have the question. How it looks better: with 2 or 3 layers on the middle section? The picture with 3 layers you can find below. Quote

Today I have tried to make proper counter part. As I think, I failed Anyway, it was just a test. Need to rebuild it in several days.(two parts are not glued together) Edited February 9, 2015 by Alardis Quote
Alardis Posted February 23, 2015 Author Report Posted February 23, 2015 Small update!I have passed the counter element, and tryed to do End Cap element. So, here is the process:First, I have done template and cut some layers of PVC with it: Next step. I have glued it together and cut the inner diameter to put the cap on the base tube of the gun. And cover it with putty to fill in and make it more plain. As we can see, it fits the tube quite nice! And the... sanding... sanding... and sanding... Now I have covered it with the next layer of putty. It is needed for maikng the final form (wider at the end). I think there will be more updates soon. While the putty is drying, I'm working with the grip. Quote
Alardis Posted February 26, 2015 Author Report Posted February 26, 2015 Massive update is here!Firstly, I'm continue works with the End Cap. It almost looks cool. Almost. The grip is also in progress: New detail is almost made! And... magazine carrier! Whee! I like how it looks. Next step -- ammo clip! The paper model is done: Quote
Alardis Posted March 3, 2015 Author Report Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Hey hey! Here comes the news. Yesterday I have fully assembled the clip. Yay, I love it! Also the grip is almost ready. It lays in the hand really nice. Edited March 3, 2015 by Alardis Quote

Alardis Posted March 3, 2015 Author Report Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Thank you, guys! It's time for some new progress I have almost finished the End Cap. Check it, please: Also I've started to think about power cylinders, I have found the research topic at White Armor. So, I have bought 10mm Alu tube. Look, what we got. Cap on the cylinder is made for the test. I think I'll remade it, will make it wider. Anyway, I like it. Edited March 3, 2015 by Alardis Quote
haui[TK] Posted March 9, 2015 Report Posted March 9, 2015 Looks good. The End-Cap is not to easy to make. Quote
Techne[TK] Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 I am always amazed at what kind of creativity and effort people put into their work on here. These scratch builds are so ambitious and challenging, I think it is great when people take it on. Quote
