shadowtrooper760 Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I'm new and started my first build with an ATA bucket while waiting for mt ATA armor. My question is, do the buckets need to be painted or can they be shined up? I see a lot of people using spray paint and really making their buckets look sharp. I'm just worried about screwing up the paint job. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks Quote
devilmaan[TK] Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) If you are getting an ATA ABS helmet you shouldn't need to paint it. Its pretty shiny right out the gate. Novus plastic polish #1 works pretty well for an added shine also Edited January 15, 2015 by devilmaan 2 Quote

devilmaan[TK] Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 Has anyone tried Meguiars plastic cleaner/polish? It seems to be at most auto parts stores. Quote
charlesnarles Posted January 15, 2015 Report Posted January 15, 2015 I've read you need to be careful not to get a polish that will negatively affect the plastic (color, integrity, etc) but it should list the kind of plastic it's safe for on the label. Should. Quote

gazmosis[501st] Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 I have always used auto rubbing and polishing compound. Whatever you gave left, you use on your car 1 Quote
