TK-4510[501st] Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Well I held out as long as I could. I did not want to change the biceps from the originals but now I have to make a decision. Too many people are having issues with the tour bicep. The next batch of MTK armor going out will have a new bicep that will mirror the opposite side. So I guess the question remaining is: Do I leave a thumb print in the left bicep so that both biceps will have thumb prints or do I remove it to be more accurate??? Quote
Polar Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 Seems like it was an easy enough fix Mike, I didnt fix mine but they seem to fit ok Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted January 5, 2015 Report Posted January 5, 2015 The thumbprint should be on the left biceps, so you better remove it on the right one . I vote to remove it for the right biceps. Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted January 5, 2015 Author Report Posted January 5, 2015 The thumb print stays on the "new" bicep that will replace the old tour bicep and gets removed from the "box" bicep. I am getting left and right confused here 1 Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted January 10, 2015 Author Report Posted January 10, 2015 OK reshaped the biceps today and subtracted a thumb print made a new outer bicep for the left arm. Also Shaped the chest to be more accurate. Always hated the TE chest! Made the large forearm narrower. filled in the cavities where the mic tips go a little so they are flat. corrected the thin strip on the crotch to be crooked! Smoothed out the sides of the ab plate more. 3 Quote

deadvision Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Any way I can get a hold of just the new biceps? Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 I really can't say... Quote
deadvision Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 I really can't say... Or maybe just the forearm. The biceps haven't bothered me. But my right forearm is huge. And I'm having tons of fun with my kit. Just wish it would assemble itself . Thanks for the awesome Christmas Mike. I'm just glad it wasn't lost! Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Nice work Mike. It's nice to see someone break the TE-linage status quote and actually improve on the accuracy. 1 Quote
troopermaster Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 You really should shave off the joining strips from the moulds. 2 Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 Bravo!!! Mike gas been steadily making more and more improvements! Impressive. I totally agree on the removal of the cover strips. Mike already got rid of them on the thighs. The back of the shins and the underside of the forearms are all that remains. Quote
TK-4510[501st] Posted January 12, 2015 Author Report Posted January 12, 2015 You really should shave off the joining strips from the moulds. That's a great idea Paul, I should have thought to do that....From the inside biceps or from both the inside and outside?? Quote
troopermaster Posted January 12, 2015 Report Posted January 12, 2015 From all parts of the biceps and only the backs of forearms, thighs and calves. Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 Great progress Mike. Awesome news for future builders of your kit. Quote
toybiz[TK] Posted January 13, 2015 Report Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) Almost makes me want to buy another one to build! These changes addressed a lot of the areas I had challenges with. This kit should come together much easier now. While you are making adjustments to the helmet, how about extending left lower cheek tube area of the face plate? The current set up doesn't allow much room for error when setting up for a low brow. Edited January 13, 2015 by toybiz Quote
Polar Posted January 14, 2015 Report Posted January 14, 2015 Nice, so that mean you goofed up on the old molds and are gonna send me a " test" suit eh? j/k. Love my MTk as is, will be ordering another mid next year. Quote
