Cadger Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 I'm in the process of trying to get my armor (AP) EIB approved. I just have a couple of issues left, I hope. My sniper plate has been attached with small bolts and nuts. I have a new plate I can fasten with glue. My issue is that when I place it where I think I must glue it down it has an angle to the outside. From both sides it looks good. But looking at it from the front you can see it is not pointing straight up. Will this ruin my EIB application? I cannot se how I can fix it, but I welcome suggestions. I've attached a few photos to show you. Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 AP kit? It tends to do that. Either way, it won't spoil your application. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 Yes, you'll be fine. And you will see that once all suited up together, it's not going to be that much noticeable. Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted December 27, 2014 Report Posted December 27, 2014 You need to have it glued on only if you are going for EIB. You mentioned small nuts and bolts. Attaching it with that will not be acceptable. Quote
Cadger Posted December 27, 2014 Author Report Posted December 27, 2014 Thanks guys. I'll add some glue then. Gazimos: It was attached with a small flat slot headed cuntersunk screw painted white with a small nut on the inside. It worked well and was nearly visible. I got through basic approval with it and I have trooped many times with it. I would have left it if it wasn't for the EIB requirements. Quote
A Master Builder Posted January 19, 2015 Report Posted January 19, 2015 DO it the best you can. Its Wonky Tonky if you know what I mean Quote
Spycee[TK] Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 Ah ah, welcome to HELL !!! Good luck, the AP is very easy to build, except for that piece. To make it more aligned I heated the top left side to bend it on the shin. Quote
