This is amazing, far beyond what I had planned but very inspirational and now my plans have tripled...<br>

I would like to ask though, is the hearing system stereo?<br>

I've had a quick look around for a kit in the UK and this one seems to be the one I think would be promising but I'd welcome your opinion on it if you don't mind please...<br>

Link should work now it just doesn't look pretty...

I believe this PCB is designed to amplify a phone's or MP3 player's audio. There's no volume control and you have to manually plug in a power supply of some sort (not a huge deal), but then you'll need to add wire for the microphones, not to mention I believe you'll have to purchase those separately. And let's not forget about speakers.

I've looked at these before, though a great idea they're not very practical for our application, but hey if you like stuff like this have at it.  :D

It's designed for a lot of things but as the majority of people fill want it for such purposes that's the description they give it...<br>

I've built plenty of amps in the past mainly for guitar headphone amps etc to give parents and wives some prace so not usually stereo, just wanted it feedback on it, it's easy enough to source/attach the missing bits for next to nothing...

Thanks Paul. Heck I wish you lived next door also, it would be a honor.

On another note I'm currently pimping out my TFA, should be done in a week or so, stay tuned  :peace:

Hey UKSWRATH

I'd like to see this bracket made by Echo that you talk about, looks pretty cool, but I haven't been able to locate Echo or his bracket anywhere. any chance you have a link or a more specific place i might be able to look?

lol.

My first thought was to do what you did, making the rear decals functional, but then a troop time constraint hit me so I went with 2 intake (front) and 2 exhaust (rear). One button controls front left and right rear fans the another button controls the other two so I'm not always running 4 unless needed.

The other two buttons control the Hearing Assist and ROM/FX power.

Thanks again for the kudos Bill

Is that anker model still your recommended power bank? Or is there a newer / slimmer version available with the same output?

Posted

Yes, it's still the most versatile model on the market IMO.

Cool. Had that anker in my amazon cart for months now..haha. Getting the courage to attempt this in an ATA as well. How would I use this with an iComm instead of the RomFX?

Posted

The iComm is powered through the amp you typically use with it however, though I haven't intended to sell this production model yet I may have amp you can use with it that you can also use with the iComm.

Send me a PM and we'll discus it.
