themacalu[TK] Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Doing a LFL Star Wars Rebel event this weekend and amps were mandatory. I've had it for a few months already but it's going to be the first time I'm actually going to use it. Was having problems thinking of ways to mount it and the wife suggested I use my GoPro chest mount. I think these 2 were made for each other! 2 Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Looks good. I have mine set up in the chest plate with velcro. Sent from my iPhone 6 using Tapatalk Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted December 3, 2014 Report Posted December 3, 2014 Definitely a good call! Much like Eric, I also have mine secured to the chest by way of Velcro... Quote

themacalu[TK] Posted December 4, 2014 Author Report Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) To the velco guys, can you post photos of where on the chest piece and where on the amp did you mount the strips? TIA Edited December 4, 2014 by themacalu Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 Clamps?! He's got the cooler aker mount. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) I just kept it simple in my kit and attached a piece of spare elastic in the chest and clip it on. Ignore the magnets. His was take. 2+ years ago upon install. ---------- I'd like to hear more about the mandatory reasoning for voice amps though. Edited March 30, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
Garbz[TK] Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 I trailer trashed mine by cutting out a zippable pouch from a Kroger recycle bag and used sticky Velcro. Mine looks so ghetto compared to these. LOL I need to start taking notes. Looks amazing! Quote
BroadSword Posted December 4, 2014 Report Posted December 4, 2014 I assume the normal "Industrial Strength" Velcro works fine for this? Quote
themacalu[TK] Posted December 5, 2014 Author Report Posted December 5, 2014 Clamps, I think they want us to go apprehend/interrogate citizens as we patrol a mall. I believe they're giving away SWR merchandise to people who answer the SWR-flavored questions correctly. Quote
BroadSword Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Since the Aker has a clip, I made bracket with some ABS. Not sure how it will work out yet as I just installed in yesterday. Just figured that if I need to mess with the settings, it will be easier to pull it off the bracket than trying to fight the industrial strength Velcro. Time will tell. ----------- Edited March 30, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
