EIB and Centurion Badges

So, I understand what and all is needed to ACHIEVE EI status, but what about the actual badges I have seen? Are those obtained like any other badge or are you given one when you achieve EI status?

If you are referring to the ones that appear next to your profile, you will receive the badge once you apply and your armor is approved.

Oh, no, I mean the physical badges, like the ones you sew into helmet bags and stuff.

Same thing, you can buy the patches when available, but you are asked not to display it on jackets, shirts, bags, etc. until you are awarded EIB or Centurion Status.
