I'll be following this. There's almost no ROTJ build threads around.

About reference pictures, there are few excellent and very interesting pictures about the strapping used for ROTJ in the newly released book "Star Wars Costumes: the Original Trilogy". If you haven't seen them or don't have the book, i can send them to you by PM if you're interested.

I'd be super interested in this if you have a link?

Whoa, I've missed to reply to my own thread!

Thank you all for your kind words.

And I have some news for you:

My first troop will be in 2 weeks and I hope to write a report for the FTE.

For this troop I want to upgrade my boots with white soles and add some fans to my helmet (on the way).

Last but not least are inner dropboxes.

I want them to be "unseful", so I'm working on a way to open the dropboxes without any noticable modification.

Really looking forward to wear my suit!

I had the same idea, I will try the following options:

- velcro + elastic

- magnets + elastic

I would try 4 small magnets in the corners.

Then you can pull them apart easily, in my theory,

The only thing I am struggling is the fact that you can not store any credit cards.... in the boxes.

Cool, looking like the idea which I had in mind. Never saw this before. Pretty cool. Thx for sharing Martin

I saw it on someone else's build page and also thought it was a cool idea. So I save the pictures. I'm glad it helps.

Working in my to do-list :)

I felt the need to paint the soles of my boots white, since RotJs hat white soles (in general).

So here we go:

- brushing the soles clean

- taping the leather so no paint comes onto it

- spraying

- finished!

There is still some cleaning up to do, but I'm quite satisfied with it.

Next thing wil be the inner dropboxes.

Later :)
