BlazeNova Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) I want to get the iron/metal grilling for my bucket's mouth/teeth but I am not sure how to go about doing this. Every other tutorial/website I have tried to look to do this only mentioned regular mesh instead. Help, anyone? -------- Edited March 4, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
Palpatine1977 Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Not too sure where that picture came from... But the original stormtroopers, both stunt and hero, did not have any sort of mesh or fabric behind the teeth. Quote
gmrhodes13[Staff] Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 I use fly screen mesh, works well, hard for anyone to look inside Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Never seen one like that - most just use fly mesh. I used metal fly mesh. However if you want to do it, just find your metal you like, bend it to shape, cut it to fit and glue it in. Quote
Necronaut[501st] Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 (edited) I was looking for some cool patterns to cover the frown & teeth on my clone helmet. I had a really hard time finding anything other than screen door material. Try photo etched metal grate patterns for detailing plastic scale models: ---------- In the end, I put in a double layer of plastic screen door material for my clone helmet. I'll do the same with my TK helmet when I get it. Edited March 4, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
Eddie TK Head Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 But why???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
toybiz[TK] Posted November 20, 2014 Report Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) Well, it sounds like you want to try this and I don't see why not as it doesn't take away from the CRLs or anything. Plus for anyone 3 feet away or more, it wouldn't make a difference. But I did find some on Amazon if you are still looking. http://www.amazon.com/Online-Metal-Supply-Aluminum-Perforated/dp/B00NR30NX6/ref=sr_1_3?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1416522056&sr=1-3 Good luck and share with us your install experience!
