Hi all, I'm new here.

I'm a videogame artist and I'm working on a 3d model of the weapon in the title, I'm looking for pictures of internal parts like disassembled trigger group, magazine follower, bolt and other helpful material , dimensions, can someone help me?

Thanks

Hi Francesco,

Look in the photo references gallery:

PM me if you can't find a specific image and I'll provide one.

While I try to keep the reference gallery as good as I can, google can actually help you with that piece;

for the internals of the magazine well there are several parts.

  • the magazine well
  • the case ejector
  • magazine release button and threaded shaft
  • magazine release spring
  • magazine release catch.  (this part is the small plate visible on the bottom of the magazine.)

APEX GUN PARTS shows photos of each part.

this is the magazine release assembly which locks the clip into place

here is the ejector.  this part has the magazine relase button traveling through it.

I have a magazine here that I can take apart and show all the relevant parts

photos of that soon!

Glad to help, Francesco.  Are you developing a video game with your 3D model or just for fun?

I have a friend who worked on EA Sports Hockey - his face was digitally scanned and he's one of the hockey players in the game.

Let me know if you need other detail pictures that you can't find in the gallery or eslewhere.

Your quick sketch helped understand exactly what you wanted.  :)

Hi, some days ago I have finished the magazine follower model, now i'm working on the bolt, I don't know if the bottom side flat area is straight or a bit angled, here a references photo.

The model i'm doing is for a multiplatform gun simulator.

Hi Francesco,

It's only 8:00AM and I've already learned something today!  The flat area on the bottom of the bolt is definitely angled.

The milled flat edge is 12mm wide at the front and extends back to a 1mm diameter soft point, 13mm from the rear edge.

I really had to mess with the lighting to get a good shot of this...the narrow end is difficult to see clearly!

Aaron took over my gun expert slot.  He saves me ton's of time doing what I used to do! hahah!

I'll NEVER know as much as Vern about these guns, so don't let him kid you.

"Saves me tons of time..." - Vern you're a regular comedian here lately!

You provided a deep, hearty laugh on this end, and for that, I thank you, sir!!!  :laugh1:

Today I have sent the model to the company, thanks again to all for your support, check noble-empire.com website periodically (due to release time) if you are interested to see the sterling in action ;)
