ukswrath[Staff] Posted November 7, 2014 Author Report Posted November 7, 2014 (edited) Dritz snaps are garbage. And even if they weren't the stems are too short to go through anything but thin fabric. Stay away from those stupid an impolite person vario pliers that dritz makes. For a few snaps here and there its fine but you'll be doing enough of them to bend the bajesus out of them. I recommend one of two snaps... First is Tandy Leather: Snaps (buy at least 100pk if not two) Setter tool Anvil McMasterCarr.com item numbers (the snaps I use and love but way more expensive): Snaps: 95691A660 Punch: 95710A690 Die: 95710A696 -Eric Yea I saw those Tandy ones today. just didn't know body who have bought them. I was looking at these, http://fasteners.fasnap.com/viewitems/snap-fasteners---screw-studs/baby-fasteners?, just didn't want to buy $50 minimum. What do you think? your opinion Edited November 7, 2014 by ukswrath Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 I think a ton of people use tandy snaps. Do a search for tandy on FISD. Did you mean to paste a link in your last post? And you'll use about twice as many snaps as you think for your build. -Eric Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted November 7, 2014 Report Posted November 7, 2014 Tandy snaps are great. 2+ years and ZERO failures. Quote
