Petros Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Hi, while putting the TK together it gets grubby, marks etc. What is the best product to use that cleans and polishes. And overtime doesn't turn armour hello after time. Peter Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Novus Plastic Polish 1 and 2 has worked well when needed for me. Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Just beat me to it. Wot he said ^^ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19398-howto-use-novus-plastic-polish-12-and-3-ah-ah-ah-i-love-counting/ I only had Number 2 and it worked real good, but Number 1 would be fine for general grubiness. Petros Posted October 27, 2014 Author Report Posted October 27, 2014 brilliant thank you, just have to find a stockist here in OZ or order it from USA. Any suggestions on stockists guys. Quote
fuumantroop[TK] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I cant remember the names, but any quik detail car wax spray should woro as well. Lets wait for someone else to chime in on that as well. Novus does work great, but if its not locally available I would search for another product. Quote
Tray[TK] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I use Nevr Dull for mine. It is none abrasive and really does a great job. You find it at automotive stores. It cleans everything from scuffs to sharpie accidents. It will not remove scratches but will remove any grim from said scratch. Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Any automotive rubbing compound from any auto parts store will work well. Quote
bzb Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I use Novus 3, then 2, then 1 when it gets really grimy (heavy scratches, paint from someone else, grubbiness from kids). Normally, I just use Plexus, which I used on my Ducati fairings. Works a charm. Quote
87ninefiveone Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I've used automotive paste wax as well as isopropyl alcohol on a cotton ball with good results. Both seem to work well for getting rid of marks from the blaster and holster. Quote
2.ooohhh Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Einszett Plastic Deep Cleaner for simple smudges, grime, and hand prints. Novus for polishing out scratches and imperfections. Quote
Petros Posted October 27, 2014 Author Report Posted October 27, 2014 wow… making a TK.. new skills all the time.. i impressed myself I learnt to sew making the snaps. Thanks everyone, looks like i can buy Novus here on the Gold Coast Quote
TK5492[TK] Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I clean grubiness with windex multisurface. I like to leave the black scuffs from my blaster though. Just gives it more of an authentic feel imo. Quote

Sly11[Admin] Posted October 28, 2014 Report Posted October 28, 2014 Maguires also make a plastic polish, Plast X, could be cheaper than Novus, also good on uv yellowing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) I use the the headlight restoration kit from 3M 39008. It polishes deep scratches or light. Brings my ATA armor to its original shine. Just hook it to a electrical or portable drill and within minutes problems solved without much effort. You can pick it up on Amazon under $14. One kit lasts quite a long time. So far I've buffed out 2 heavy scratched armor sets however, you will run out of the supplied 3M polish before exhausting any other items. In this case I use Novus 2 polish in replace of the 3M polish (basically the same stuff). I used to restore headlights professionally a couple years ago. I figured it worked on polyurethane headlights it should work on ABS or similar plastics and I was correct. I highly recommend it. Edited October 31, 2014 by ukswrath 1 Quote
