LaserBrain99 Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) These are the ears that came with my ATA kit. I feel so dumb for asking, but which ones are left and which ones are right? ------------- Edited January 14, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working, removed gmrhodes13 2021 Quote
87ninefiveone Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 (edited) C and D are left, A and B are right side ears. The curve in the skinny part points to the rear. Edited October 25, 2014 by 87ninefiveone Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted October 25, 2014 Report Posted October 25, 2014 Be clear that ATA always gives 2 pair should you make a mistake with the first pair. C and D are the right AS YOU ARE LOOKING AT THE HELMET. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 The key to determining which are which, is the curve should go backwards (towards the back of the helmet. If you look at the lower part of the ear where it curves slightly, it curves in a certain direction. The center of the curve, the highest point should point towards the back of the helmet. Quote
bpoodoo Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 Yet another way to determine which side of the helmet an ear goes on is to hold up the ear in front of you with the outside of the ear facing you and level so that the ear rank bars are straight up and down. Note on which side you find more of the lower part of the ear (below the circular part). More of the lower part to the right means it goes on the right side of the helmet as you look at it. More of the lower part on the left means it goes on the left side of the helmet as you look at it. Quote
