As most do... my excitement turned to... WTH do I do now? LOL

I am going to try to pick up the rest of the tools I need to start rough trims tomorrow

I am sure I will be asking many questions......

Research is a big part of the journey, looking forward to the build

Hey Todd ... After MUCH reading and researching .. reading through tutorials and looking at reference photos ... I stumbled across a video from TROOPERBAY in which he documented a build from start to finish!

IMO, this is a GREAT video tutorial .. give it a look .. i promise it will help you out TREMENDOUSLY !!

The guys here on FISD are VERY helpful with questions as well !!

Thanks everyone

I knew we were doing something wrong with the miracle grow! Lol

I've seen the trooper bay video. It is very good. I thought I had a handle on the how to threads. That's all I've been doing since I placed my order. It's different when the armor is sitting in front of me lol. It will be fine. Just slightly intimidating. Measuring three times and cutting once! Lol

Research is key, but you won't ever feel comfortable until you dig in and start cutting. Measure twice, cut once. And post up with questions when in doubt.

Hopefully the pic link will work from the tap app

Anyway I have the forearms cut, sized, sanded and gluing.

What's happening with your build? I am on the list for ATA armor since last March, and I am going ga-ga watching others build theirs. I finished my bucket already and am really happy with it. You are in for a treat with this kit. Happy building and let's see some more photos !

Sorry about the delay! Work and house projects for the holidays have unfortunately trumped my building recently :-( I am going crazy looking at the stuff but I might have to wait until after Christmas to really dig back in

So I finally had some time in the last week to do some work. I was able to do some work on my bucket and work on my arms. I am going to try to round out the left bicep this week

Hopefully my tube stripe templates are in the mailbox tomorrow.

Since I am inching my way through my first build I am horrible at remembering to take photos as I move along :-/

I did also, I found it was easier to see what I was doing by starting underneath.  Just had to make sure I had pre-cut all of the coverstrips and did not run out, using the bad pieces for the underneath.

Yes. I cant remember what thread it was, but saw someone gluing the inside strip on one side. Then gluing the other half from the back first. It does seem to easier to get the strip exactly where I want, but just a slower process.
