TKedt[TK] Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 i just got a new aker amp and i was wondering what is the best placement in the armor to avoid feedback and increase volume. Thanx Quote
Darth Aloha[Admin] Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I hang mine around my neck with the strap provided under my chest. It sorta sits under my ab plate sometimes. Your mic has a lot to do with how much feedback you get when all suited up. Ask pickles or ladyinwhite. I'm loud. -Eric Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
Bill.I.Am Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I made a pocket for the inside of my chest using a black pencil case from a dollar store. Cut out the zipper, cut it in half, sew up the side and some velcro on the back to attach it to the chest. Slip in the Aker and thats it. Quote
Jancelot[TK] Posted September 11, 2014 Report Posted September 11, 2014 I mounted mine behind the left pectoral of the chest plate. I made a u-shaped piece of ABS to support it. Clip the amp over the support, industrial velcro the back to the support and then industrial velcro the support feet to the chest plate. Below is a shot of my Snowie chest plate with the support. On my TK the support is rotated 90 degrees so the volume knob is on top. Also, in the shot below I have the RomFX speaker attached. But it gives you an idea of what the support looks like. Quote

I've tried different mic's and still get feedback after a certain point :/ Edited September 13, 2014 by Pickles Quote
Clamps[TK] Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 Mine goes right in chest plate under the right TKBoob. I have little to no feedback issues even when setting aker to Con levels (loud). I use a piece of elastic glued wih E6000 that the aker slips into and hooks using built in belt hook. Holding strong after 2+ years. Icomm, when in use, it velcro's under the left boob Quote

TKedt[TK] Posted September 16, 2014 Author Report Posted September 16, 2014 so I tropped with the aker on Saturday and place it under the AB plate by my stomach. No feedback. Quote
