Snaps[TK] Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 I just used glue on the Dropbox elastics. Belt and thigh armor looks great! Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 7, 2014 Author Report Posted September 7, 2014 Getting closer to the strapping stage. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted September 7, 2014 Report Posted September 7, 2014 Belt almost finished, just need to attach the drop boxes to the elastic straps behind. Is there a verdict on how these should be attached? Glued or rivet etc. Use CAP rivets if you still have some. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 8, 2014 Author Report Posted September 8, 2014 What is the go for adhering foam inside the helmet? glue, double sided tape, what works best. Quote
maxsteele[TK] Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I'm using mich pads for my helmet. One side of those pads acts as fuzzy Velcro, so I stuck the hook Velcro inside my helmet and I can adjust the pads. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 9, 2014 Author Report Posted September 9, 2014 Good idea, Velcor, so they can be removable for cleaning inside my bucket. Thanks man. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 9, 2014 Author Report Posted September 9, 2014 Got a few more things done last night, after a big weekend at our first Comicon. Snaps and Velcro being used, and thank you to Echo for his centurion Level 8mm rivets. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 11, 2014 Author Report Posted September 11, 2014 Strapping the armour at last. Will glue and do shoulder bridges and chest last. Still need to tidy up the side strapping. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 11, 2014 Author Report Posted September 11, 2014 How hard is it to hand paint these little buttons.... do they look alright for size? they are just under 11mm across. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 11, 2014 Author Report Posted September 11, 2014 Have done it...i said I wouldn't, but I have. Cut out the corners of the kidney plate in ready for my future submission for Centurion. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 12, 2014 Author Report Posted September 12, 2014 Almost done with the strapping, oh and finally did that darn Sniper knee plate. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 13, 2014 Author Report Posted September 13, 2014 More progress today, so know the shoulder bells are strapped and only need to be attached to the shoulder bridges when they are done. Also glued the button plates onto the ab, and made a garter belt for the thighs. All going well I should be complete by tomorrow afternoon......Yippy. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 13, 2014 Author Report Posted September 13, 2014 Han hooks glued. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted September 13, 2014 Author Report Posted September 13, 2014 A sneaky test fit before i do the shoulder bridges. Quote

Snaps[TK] Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Looks really good buddy!! Only suggestion I have is cutting the strip at the top on your ammo belt thigh just a little to even it up with the armor Feels great to finally be wearing it all doesn't it? Quote
