Dday[501st] Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) I've got another commission and I've gotten all the parts and begun the build! I'm in a time crunch to get this done fast! So in the excitement, I didn't even take the entry box/unpacking shots! I'll make up for it with a fast build! I decided the way I was doing things before... taking everything out, trimming everything then doing the gluing and assembly was a bad way to do it in regards to time used. The best way since I've only got 40 magnets and 10 clamps is to cut and glue one set of parts right away. While I am waiting for the E6000 to set, I work on the helmet or cutting the main body parts. This way I'm not sunk waiting on parts to glue with nothing to do. So far... I've gotten the Thigh fronts and one forearm gluing, then I worked on the helmet got it cut out and ready for assembly. I've finished the thighs, fully closed and sized, and one forearm. And the right forearm The helmet is trimmed and riveted. I'll finish the ears and start painting this afternoon. A few new updates... All the rounded pieces fully sized to the new owner and closed up. Did some trimming on the chest and butt.... does that say anything about me? Also, helmet is nearly done, just the stripes to paint on. Bad lighting it's taken at almost midnight.... better ones when it's done. Finished the helmet now.. well I still need to paint the screws white, but I consider it finished Back from Vacation now, putting the finishing touches on the suit now. Looking to get this to it's new owner on Monday. This will be a photogasm of my progress over the last days. Legs and arms strapped and waiting. I still need to add the hooks on the biceps, thats part of todays finishing work. Torso is all done strapped and connected and put up on Mr. Sexy. Remaining to do is paint the buttons and sew the male end of the snaps on the shoulder bridges. Armor is boxed and and heading to it's new home now! Edited September 8, 2014 by Dday 1 Quote

Bone[501st] Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 (edited) ... and please make a lot of photos of the all the little things you learned over time. I am waiting for my 1.5 mm TM suit and knowing that all the different suits have their own nooks and crannies and surprises, I am looking for a good and detailed building thread of a TM suit. - EDIT - Just found your link collection. It seems you already did what I wished for ... Edited August 12, 2014 by Bone Quote

It seems you already did what I wished for ... Hi Bone, You made the right choice going with Troopermaster! I look foward to seeing your own build thread once you get your suit. Indeed, everything I know about builds has come from here, all the builds, posts and help from other members and I've collected these pieces in all the build threads I've done. I've done hero, Stunt, 1.5mm and 1mm. I'm a very junior builder compared to some of the other folks here though! Always remember, use the photo gallery for a true reference, not my or anyone elses build threads. While looking at the builds can help, when you want to be sure you get a 100% screen accurate look, the RS suit screen caps and the replica section are the place to be. See you in the German Garrison one day! Quote
Benjamin Kiepurning Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 What link collection! What did I miss?? By the way, looking forward to this built. After finishing my bucket, I'll order some TM-TK armour myself. Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Quote

Benjamin Kiepurning Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 That's great! I'm obviously trying to get as much information as possible before messing the suit up Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Quote

I'm obviously trying to get as much information as possible before messing the suit up Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Just remember like I said in a post above. The screen captures, RS suit photo references and the replica section are the way to go to ensure your suit looks like it stepped right off the screen. I have tried to incorporate that information and knowledge into the builds I do just incase someone looks at a picture from something I've done so that I don't lead people astray. Quote

gazmosis[501st] Posted August 18, 2014 Report Posted August 18, 2014 This is awesome so far. Well done on the helmet! I would go back and check the paint on the back traps. The vent lines are a little generous. Quote

The5thHorseman[501st] Posted September 5, 2014 Report Posted September 5, 2014 You're privileged to be able to work on all those TM's armors man . You still have got some return edges on the forearms wrist openings which should be removed though. And i would also remove completely the ankle's return edges to reduce the wear caused to the boots and because it won't hurt the accuracy: Quote

As to the return edge on the raised area, I will leave that up to the new owner to decide. I personally like it in there so it doesn't expose the inside when worn. Screen used is screen used though. We will see what the new owner wants. Edited September 5, 2014 by Dday Quote
Dday[501st] Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 i like the shin edge. You like return edge Quote
