That's pretty much what I used on mine, the finish is subtle and not too overdone

it works probably, but it has to much texture to match  the real paint. The black is flat black.

This color matches very good but dos not have texture. The texture you can probably add by dabbing the wet color with a sponge/paper/towl

I did a flat black undercoat with a light coat of hammered on top only for what would have been part of the original firearm. Be sure to mask off the t-tracks as they were only flat black plastic and the grip which was a shiny plastic.

 

also do a flat clear coat over the hammered to bring some of the shine down.

Got the flat for the t-tracks, and the gloss for the grip.  ill look for the clear overcoat and see how that works with the hammered finish, but will definately try to do differet tests before I decide.
