Starfox2010 Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 Would this work for a DD build? Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 That's pretty much what I used on mine, the finish is subtle and not too overdone Quote
hairball[501st] Posted August 10, 2014 Report Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) it works probably, but it has to much texture to match the real paint. The black is flat black. This color matches very good but dos not have texture. The texture you can probably add by dabbing the wet color with a sponge/paper/towl Edited August 10, 2014 by hairball Quote
hairball[501st] Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 or you can do hammered finish(silver) with some light sanding and black ontop of that Quote
cm325i Posted August 11, 2014 Report Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) I did a flat black undercoat with a light coat of hammered on top only for what would have been part of the original firearm. Be sure to mask off the t-tracks as they were only flat black plastic and the grip which was a shiny plastic. also do a flat clear coat over the hammered to bring some of the shine down. Starfox2010 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Report Posted August 14, 2014 Got the flat for the t-tracks, and the gloss for the grip. ill look for the clear overcoat and see how that works with the hammered finish, but will definately try to do differet tests before I decide. Thanks again everyone! Quote
