Capi'tanc'runch Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Absolutely cannot wait to get started on this build. I'll update as I work on it, feel free to give advice and correct me if it looks like I'm going down the wrong road! If there are any others in the DFW area, maybe we can work together and keep ourselves from making the same mistakes. Quote
Grimez Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 (edited) My imperial cog tshirt seems to be stuck in an infinite loop at the Forth Worth Post Office if that somehow makes us closer. As a suggestion, the forearms and arms are probably the best place to start, they are the simplest and let you get used to trimming before you tackle things like the helmet. That's where I started. Good luck on your build! Edited July 30, 2014 by Grimez Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Noooo. Get stuck into the helmet. Once you've mastered that, anything else is easy! What kit have you got there? Quote
Dark PWF[Staff] Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Looks like AM. I'd second that... Lots of "extras" and the ab button piece is on the pyramid sort of shape. Looks like a good time ready to be had, John. Are you active in the Imperial Academy - Star Garrison Recruit Page Facebook group yet? I'm not in the DFW area yet, but should be moving to Keller (ish) in a few months, so I'll be there sooner rather than later! Measure twice, cut once - oh... HAVE FUN! Quote
Capi'tanc'runch Posted July 30, 2014 Author Report Posted July 30, 2014 I'm in Keller as well. And yes, AM. Helmet, forearms, aghhhh! I'm gonna end up with an arm with a face plate. Quote
Grimez Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Don't listen to Ian, he's crazy! I wouldn't have trusted myself with the helmet first, if you mess that up everyone will notice. I stand by starting with the forearms. Quote
I'm Batman[501st] Posted July 30, 2014 Report Posted July 30, 2014 Don't listen to Ian, he's crazy! Haha, how could you know me so well? But seriously, I did. Just got stuck into the helmet, and the rest followed. Quote
