I have purchased a ROM/FX from someone, but when I connect to the speaker it keeps repeating romfx romfx?

Someone told me it does this when you have a flat or low battery? Is this correct or a more serious wiring fault?

Thanks

Yes indeed, as mentioned in the instructions, when the board keeps repeating the start-up sound it means the batteries are low and need to be replaced.  The board is essentially rebooting in a loop as power drops, restarts etc. etc.

Make sure you use good quality batteries like the Duracell Ultra or similar.

Thanks,

John

John is the Rom/Fx man, so def listen to him! :D

I had a similar problem, even with a brand new 9V. It was a normal one so it just wasn't enough juice. Once I bought the ones made for high drain devices it worked like a charm.

Hey John sent you a message. Also I'm assuming this will work with Hovi mic tips?
