And a new one!!!

 

 

Base helmet kit: Dan Laws Beige HDPE (and white ABS ears).

 

I reshaped the whole shape of the helmet kit (too much wide). Painted it with correct khaki primer (inside and outside), plastified it (in order to help the paint to stick on it) and textured it in order to simulate an original helmet (the DL kit is initially smooth).

Faceplate riveted to the cap back, ears screwed.

 

And then, usual works (white gloss paint, silkscreened style decals, three parts white mic tips, U brow trim, S shaped neck trim converted into U shape, yellow padding, etc....)

 

I tried to be as close as possible to an original...... so a light weathering too ^^

i like this one! i'm glad that you reshaped it. i can always tell a Dan Laws helmet from the face but this fooled me. Awesome work Verne!

Sweet! when you say plastified, do mean heating the plastic up.  I may have tried something similar.
