Dday[501st] Posted May 29, 2014 Author Report Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Hey Derrek, if you refer to the drop box width, then your ends are too small . The end mesure more than half the width of the drop box on the RS pic. But nevertheless, this is small details, very small details... But the details are all that matter I've used my super professional photo editing skills to create these.... Mine: RS: I wanted to see what I could see in other TK screen captures, but the website http://starwarsscreencaps.com/ doesn't seem to work any more.... maybe LFL shut them down. I would say though, if there was 0.5mm more, it wouldn't kill it Edited May 29, 2014 by Dday Quote

Dday[501st] Posted June 2, 2014 Author Report Posted June 2, 2014 Ok, some progress over the last few days. Not really much progress, things have been busy with other things going on... but progress none the less. I decided to put the suit on Mr. Sexy as it is now, just to give a nice impression of it. I've built a pvc skeleton I plan on doing up with foam and such, but apparently his hips are too big for this suit and it doesn't fit! Time to readjust him. I still have to close the backs of all the arms/leg pieces, and a few other little detailing things, and build the biceps. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted June 12, 2014 Author Report Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) Not much progress the last week, I've been super slammed with other stuff. I got into the workroom to do about an hour of work last night though. Basically closed up the forearms and built the biceps fully (no photos yet, they are filled with clamps . And before anyones says, the return edge on lower the forearm is by request. Inside you can see my sizing ring. It's the same measurement as the future owners forearm. I measured it and taped the ABS strip shut so I could check the fit of pieces as I build them. This one has several measurements so I can untape and resize it for the forearms, biceps and calfs. If I was thinking more when I first built it I would have it big enough for the thighs as well in one resizable ring, but... learn as you go Edited June 12, 2014 by Dday 1 Quote
vecspeed12 Posted June 14, 2014 Report Posted June 14, 2014 nice! thats a pretty smart way to do sizing. i never even thought of that. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted June 18, 2014 Author Report Posted June 18, 2014 Ok... Whats left: Glue in the 3 straps/hooks on the calfs, paint the hand guards, attach hand guards to gloves. Box it and ship it. Bomb dump of photos. The cap rivets on the thigh were painted after the photo. Quote
Dday[501st] Posted June 21, 2014 Author Report Posted June 21, 2014 Ok, suits done... ready to be boxed up and set away. Quote

Stormy320 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Posted September 6, 2014 Looks really good. I have some TMArmor, but I thought it was 1.5mm. what is the story with 1 or am I incorrect. Quote

The majority of TM armors that are sold are 1.5mm, I think. TM can confirm/deny this if you ask him. He also sells a 2mm (thicker, not good for original bracket strapping, use strap and snap strapping, not as flexible as the others but ultra shiny) and the 1mm (super lightweight, very flexible, good for original bracket strapping). The 1.5mm is what they used in the movies and is as accurate as you can get. Some people go for the 1mm because it's one of those "limited edition" type things. It's not really limited but very few people opt for the 1mm armors, and it is really noticeably lighter and thinner (not more fragile or breakable though!) then the 1.5mm. I personally like the 1mm the best. its super flexible and light. feels like wearing a t-shirt. i've owned 2 sets of TM 2mm and i currently have a TM 1.5mm as my stunt. my hero is 1mm. it has sharper lines since its thinner plastic. Oh and the 2mm is super glossy. my TM 1.5mm my TM 2mm. I've also owned a RS TK but i sold that because i didn't like how it fit me. i do however currently have a RS sand trooper though. RS 1.5mm Quote
