Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right section for me to start this thread, if not then just let me know :)

So today my brown box of goodness arrived with my shiny new Blackhole Stormtrooper NE kit all wrapped up nicely within.

Firstly, im not a stranger to armour builds but i have always done it from working up from Pepakura work to fiberglassing so it was always pretty much made to my size requirments from the beginning. This is the first build i have ever done with ABS and i really dont want to mess it up so any help/advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing i noticed with this kit is that the peices are very deep so will require quite abit of trimming to fit my build, secondly the helmet kit by the looks of it will also require trimming etc to make it all fit together nicely and as i have never done that type of work with a helmet before it seems a little daunting at the moment. I also appear to have recieved two left biceps with the thumb print in, can i make these work of should i order the correct right bicep?

Im going to scour the forums for as much information as possible before i do anything and print myself off a load of reference pics but in the meantime any comments would be greatly appreciated

Just make sure if you reference build threads from here you look at "AM" build threads or Armor Master. What you have is the original AM molds with a new name.

After spending a good few hours browsing forums and reading threads i decided i felt ready enough to get started, albeit with something fairly easy. I decided the forearms didnt seem that difficult so i got stuck in, became so engrossed i forgot to take any in progress pictures but all i basically did was remove the returns, cut down to fit my wrist snugly and give the edges a quick sand until i can smooth them down properly tomorrow

So after even more forum and thread browsing im starting to feel a little bit more confident and having noticed the above post from Steve that the kit is actually an Armour Master one its been much easier finding information to help me with it. Any more helpful comments or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially when it comes to the helmet as im having difficulty finding a decent thread or instructions on how to put it together. Now to get on and tackle the bicaps, pics to come later :)

Both biceps completed, just need gluing together once my clips arrive in the post to hold the peices (joys of living in the countryside) so for now masking tape will do. The peices fit nice and snug together once pressure is applied but if you can spot anything i can improve upon just let me know

the black ATA isnt as deep black like the AM is pictured in this thread. AM used a custom acrylic capped black abs which is why they look so amazing. as much as i like ATA, the black abs used is a straight up gloss black and looks almost dark gray in the sunlight and will need to be painted to match the deep black AM armor.

heres my AM with a painted CAPW helmet, you can see they match almost perfect
