Skorce Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Hello everyone, I have ordered a doopydoos kit for my Hasbro E-11 (as I do not yet have the confidence in my ability to make a convincing PVC pipe kit). I've cut out the molded cocking leaver hole (see image below and yes will fix the mess cutting with putty/filler) and have sourced a somewhat appropriate spring. The thing i'm really having trouble with is making the tubular part that slides in or over the spring and that the cocking handle attaches to. Ideally what I would like to do is make the charging mechanism move, without removing the electronics. Trouble is, every type of pipe or whatever I try just hits the circuit board that sits behind the trigger. This is the part that I am trying to replicate. Does anybody have any ideas or experience with this issue? Many thanks in advance and apologies if this is in the wrong place or there are any issues with the post. Ben. Quote
gazmosis[501st] Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 With all the effort you are putting into this hasbro and the thought it is demanding, you should just go straight for the doopydoos kit. There are SO many build threads on here it almost builds itself. That's just me. Quote
Skorce Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Maybe you are right. The only thing that worried me was drilling the holes in the barrel sleeve. Weirdly enough, my hasbro had a round rubber disc the exact size of the holes inside one of the holes. Guess I could use that as a guide. Thanks! Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) I use a 7/16 wood bore bit with a 1/8 pilot hole. image shows 1" http://cloudfront.zoro.com/product/full/1PMN6_AS02.JPG then you follow up with a cone stone bit on a dremel --------- sand it up with some paper by hand and you'll get smooth easy holes in a PVC pipe. or you can order a pipe from me ------ Edited October 2, 2021 by gmrhodes13 link not working removed Quote
Skorce Posted May 4, 2014 Author Report Posted May 4, 2014 Oh wow. That looks like it would save some time. How much are you charging for the the pipes and are the T tracks included? Many thanks. Quote
illusionz_09[TK] Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 what size PVC pipe would you need to get to put on the hasbro? is it 1.5" or 1.25"? Quote
