I was lucky to get myself a TE2 helmet for xmas and have been itching to get stuck in and get this finished. I was thoroughly impressed by Mr. X. throughout the transaction and had the main man himself assemble my lid for me.

While i was waiting for the weather to perk up a bit i put together my other helmet esb style but from the start i wanted to build my TE2 to pretty much the same standards as the helmets would have been for the original film. I wanted to try and make this look like what it may have done for the start of filming in 1977

The only thing i have done to the helmet before finishing the build was cut out the teeth a little more and sand the eye sockets, everything else is as it was when it came into my possession

Ohhh... nice work with the hand-painted 'decal areas' :)

I'm hoping to receive a set of TE2 armour pretty soon, and these kinda threads are certainly building my anticipation! :D

Thanks for all the kind words guys, i am really happy with this helmet.

Will you believe i painted the whole thing by hand, this helmet has not been anywhere near a rattle can. Its a shame the pics dont really show the details, i tried to get a few drips in the paint for added authenticity but there are only 3 small dribbles in the whole thing...
