The orginal hand guards were far from perfect. We know that by now. :)

The hand guards available to the community, even if they are made of the same materials, are still somehow "idealized".

I wouldn't dare selling one single pair that looked like "straight from the set"!

The ones I make a perfectly trimmed, glued, clean, etc.

Now, there are ways to weather latex plates (naturally by wearing or by hand [LINK to tutorial). but IMO, that doesnt have to right "feel".

So I'm making a small run, which I call "Authentic Line"

A few highlights:

+ no pair will look the same

+ latex "flash" around the edges

This gives a deeper look, like a retrun edge, seen here

+small surface defects

a plaster molds get worn after a few pulls. So there NEED to be some blemishes

+ ..and more!

The guards (and gloves!) can either be weathered naturally or by hand.

Thanks for looking!

I'm in! My new TM armor deserves it :-) What do you mean with "naturally weathered"?

I see, yeah that's what my pair of your "idealized" latex ones already do. Gives a great tantive-style feeling.

I am definitely in for a pair.... These look awesome!!!

Thank you!

I found a new way to cast these.  It will INCREASE the "return edge" of these.

As you can see in the first pic above, they appear to be quite thick, but are actually quite shallow.

You truly are the Queen. I can't wait to order a few pair myself. These are sweet. :)

Thank you everybody for the kind words!

Billy, I like your "LIKE"!!! Did you draw it yourself?

Here's a little TEASER: the latex "return edge" led me to the SOLUTION of the LAST MYSTERY of the hand guards!

More to come tomorow, the paint needs to dry first ;)

How do these differ from the ones I just purchased 😓

To avoid confusion:  This will be a limited run. And the hand guards are more a prop replica, rather than costume parts. You could say "collector's edition".

My regular offers won't be affected.

Those look really nice!

Looking forward to seeing your teaser :P

OT...

I'm with Paul :) It's not often men say they're looking forward to be teased by a woman. You should feel highly complimented.

I do feel complimented Thank you!

I can hardly keep my "discovery" to myself. But it's useless without pics.  :D

We'll be watching your career with great interest! ;)

I have to tease you a little longer ; I need to take better pics (and make another cast or 2)

But this I can tell you: It's (mainly) about the knuckle indentions

Okay, here are some BIG pics.

If they're too big, I'll shrink them tomorrow, (and I cant do it right know)  but I really like to show off some details.

I also leave the pics uncommented until tomorrow (too tired), but in short I can say this

"I FOUND (MY) HOLY GRAIL"

(meaning I can finally explain/recreate all details found on the hand guards)

Looks like the regular version, right?
