The hand guards available to the community, even if they are made of the same materials, are still somehow "idealized". I wouldn't dare selling one single pair that looked like "straight from the set"! The ones I make a perfectly trimmed, glued, clean, etc. Now, there are ways to weather latex plates (naturally by wearing or by hand [LINK to tutorial). but IMO, that doesnt have to right "feel". So I'm making a small run, which I call "Authentic Line" A few highlights: + no pair will look the same + latex "flash" around the edges This gives a deeper look, like a retrun edge, seen here +small surface defects a plaster molds get worn after a few pulls. So there NEED to be some blemishes ----------- + ..and more! The guards (and gloves!) can either be weathered naturally or by hand. Thanks for looking! Sonnenschein Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 Thank you! I found a new way to cast these. It will INCREASE the "return edge" of these. As you can see in the first pic above, they appear to be quite thick, but are actually quite shallow.

I also leave the pics uncommented until tomorrow (too tired), but in short I can say this "I FOUND (MY) HOLY GRAIL" (meaning I can finally explain/recreate all details found on the hand guards) Looks like the regular version, right? Complete different "interieur" Veeery stretchy, but strong. You can't rip it apart with your hands.
