skyone Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 (edited) after Asahi has discontinued it many years ago, a new company is going to put on the market a new asg replica of the sterling Mk4 at the end of January 2014 although it is not known the producer and the price Edited January 8, 2014 by skyone Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Uuuuh! That will be great for those looking for ROTJ blasters. Quote
bjsavage7[TK] Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Uuuuh! That will be great for those looking for ROTJ blasters. Yeah, especially since they are getting pretty rare these days. Thats awesome! Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Damn that's so cool ! But isn't it a MGC Sterling Mk IV version instead of a L2A3 version? I mean as Mathias said it's the basis used for ROTJ blasters BTW i suppose there is no Airsoft version of the ANH sterling existing on the market ? Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted January 8, 2014 Report Posted January 8, 2014 Uhhh!!! A shame it the ROTJ version But maybe the stock and a few other parts, could be scavenged for a pipe build. Quote
skyone Posted January 8, 2014 Author Report Posted January 8, 2014 the other clip from youtube comments: "Full metal 7.4V Lithium Double pack" "i see u guys copied the MGC's Sterling modelgun. therefore it's Canadian ''C1'', and it should have flat-faced muzzle like MGCs do. Also i hope those little screws around the chamber would disappear on final products. Other than that, it looks super attractive! " Quote
swmand4 Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 That's pretty cool! Maybe I'll scrounge up some cash to buy one and convert it to an ROTJ blaster. It could be my next project that I never finish... 1 Quote
jkno Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 nice but for ROTJ E-11 I would ONLY go with a MGC. Wish these guys did a classic Mk4 L2A3 instead of this copy of a copy. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 the muzzle looks wrong... but this is a copy of the MGC canadian C1 the bolts around the barrel in front of the breech are accurate to the ROTJ version... but the muzzle would disqualify the model for ROTJ Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Let's wait with judgements until we see it for sale. Until then, anything may change. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) from the looks of the video he has a model intended for sale? perhaps this is the asahi? you would have to mod it quite a bit to make it look more L2A3 this is going to be a fun offering! skyone Posted January 11, 2014 Author Report Posted January 11, 2014 (edited) found seller's facebook and website ---------- average price of others AEG is about 300USD.. Edited August 7, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
Daetrin[Admin] Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 Let's wait with judgements until we see it for sale. Until then, anything may change. Agreed - much could change between now and then. Also, while these details may be needed for Centurion, they'd be fine for regular and EI levels, I'm sure. I troop with a de-activated airsoft, and actually like the weight. Quote
jkno Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 $300 hmmmm... Not sure, I'll see if worth getting. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 12, 2014 Report Posted January 12, 2014 the videos in this thread come from the manufacturer. so the details most likely are finalized. when makers post videos in an airsoft company the tooling is already done. Quote
skyone Posted January 19, 2014 Author Report Posted January 19, 2014 (edited) it's online on famous italian aeg shop, but yet not in stockSL-MK4 - www.softair-italia.it ----------- Edited August 7, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 if you ground off the muzzle flat, and shorten the clip, this would be a direct copy of the MGC canadian C1 only other flaw is the end cap lug looks a little long. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted January 20, 2014 Report Posted January 20, 2014 What happened to the Magazine end cover??? Quote
skyone Posted January 23, 2014 Author Report Posted January 23, 2014 cooming soon now also the popular ehobbyAsia has published the AEG on its facebook page https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152167284923497&set=a.252572788496.137996.166485503496&type=1&theater Quote
jkno Posted January 25, 2014 Report Posted January 25, 2014 This seems very nice and quite successful even before released. Not sure how you can cut up the mag (if at all possible to modify as an E-11 mag) or change the muzzle tip to be more accurate to the C1 Quote
troopermaster Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 I like this Sterling a lot and it would be great to be able to customise it into a full working E-11 blaster. If you could chop the mag down and somehow adapt it so the Hengstler held the bb's instead, that would be awesome Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Chopping the magazine down ought to be easy. The hard part would be keeping it functional. Quote
Arnie_DK[TK] Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 Maybe you could take the inner workings of a small MP5 mag and put inside your chopped down sterling mag Quote
skyone Posted January 26, 2014 Author Report Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) another photo from -------- they also posted a picture of a RotJ blaster; seems they know what are they going to sell.. Edited August 7, 2022 by gmrhodes13 link removed no longer working Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted January 26, 2014 Report Posted January 26, 2014 In that case maybe they will provide a shortened mag too! Very exciting stuff though Quote
