Haribon72[TK] Posted November 20, 2013 Report Posted November 20, 2013 (edited) Hello Everyone! I joined FISD last month (October 2013) and within a couple weeks, I purchased my first build kit - TK Helmet from FISD member "Scootch". I hope my topic here will inspire new troopers and get feedback from the 501st members. I have never done this before however, I'm a facilities worker by day (electrician...HVAC.. handyman.....etc..etc..etc...) so I already had the tools to get start with. I've put in my free time during the weekends to slowly start this project. Edited November 22, 2013 by Haribon72 Quote
Haribon72[TK] Posted November 20, 2013 Author Report Posted November 20, 2013 sorry the delay.... all my pictures are "too big to upload". Let me see if I can come up with an online gallery or something. Quote

mikedwelle94[TK] Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Thanks for this. I just got my Scootch helmet kit this morning and I'll be using this thread for reference. Quote
maxsteele[TK] Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Did you use decals for the traps and tears as well as the tube stripes? Quote
Tolo[TK] Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Holly crap dude, that's a nice looking bucket!!! Sent from my iPhone 5 using Tapatalk Quote
Locitus[Admin] Posted December 31, 2013 Report Posted December 31, 2013 Here's the finished helmet! You should change the last grey teeth to pointy. It should be pointy at both ends and not squared off like yours. I did the same mistake when I was new, but you would want to fix it. It'll only take a minute or so. Haribon72[TK] Posted January 4, 2014 Author Report Posted January 4, 2014 maxsteele (ron)..Yes, I used the decals that came with the kit. They work great. Someday I will remove them and paint the details. Quote
Haribon72[TK] Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Here's my latest updates on my helmet = TrooperBay's welders dark green lens, helmet padding, Echo's fan system, corrected frown... https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/107611232966841542690/albums/5964166231811357153/5964166236209268402?pid=5964166236209268402&oid=107611232966841542690 Edited January 9, 2014 by Haribon72 Quote
Haribon72[TK] Posted January 9, 2014 Author Report Posted January 9, 2014 Please let me know if the helmet is done or anything that requires attention. I'd like to meet Centurion requirements on the Helmet now before I continue on with my NE armor. Quote
The5thHorseman[501st] Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 Helmet should be good to go. However i think you could tighten up the bottom screw of the right ear to bring the curve closer to the tube, or maybe even drill a new hole closer to the neck opening. Quote
pandatrooper[TK] Posted January 9, 2014 Report Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) I think your tube stripes are a little low. They should be about a pencil width approx. 3/8" away from the cheek valley. Not a requirement for centurion but there was no mesh under the teeth on the originals. Edited January 9, 2014 by pandatrooper Quote
