I got some industrial strength adhesive back velcro for my shins. It came with instructions that said to let the adhesive set up for 24 hours, so I did and it still peels off. Should I have sanded first? Should I peel it off and stick it back down with one of these five adhesives I've accquired over this build? I'm confused.

I think velcro users usually glue it with e6000 rather than using adhesive but i might mistake myself. In the end you can always swap and use hooks to close your shins  ^_^

This is the stuff you should have gotten.

It is best to use a light grit sandpaper and sand off the gloss on the area where the velcro sticks down. Also helps to use an Xacto blade and score those areas. I also use a cross hatch pattern when scoring. It gives the adhesive something to bite into.

You should use non adhesive Velcro then apply with e6000 never been a problem for me, industrial glued Velcro just doesn't hold that well

I removed the velcro, sanded the areas, used the primer pen that comes with the glue I used for the latex hand plates (thanks to karin for the advice!) on all surfaces, applied e6000, allowed to cure for a few minutes and clamped the poodoo out of it. I've yet to do another test fit. I will post pics when I do.
